Venk Krishnamoorthy's legal skills build on significant real world technical and business acumen honed over years working with leading tech companies. His practice currently focuses on patent prosecution, opinion writing, and strategic counseling.

Dr. Krishnamoorthy's technical expertise spans the areas of: computer hardware and software, networking, cloud computing, web technologies, mobile communications, microprocessors, operating systems, information retrieval, multi-media, business methods, and bio-informatics.

Dr. Krishnamoorthy has prepared, prosecuted, and supervised the prosecution of numerous patent applications relating to the electrical & computer arts. His prosecution practice, moulded by extensive litigation experience, helps clients obtain enforceable patents and avoid potential pitfalls. Dr. Krishnamoorthy has litigated several patents related to hardware & software, mobile computing, operating systems, and gaming and defended preeminent multinational companies in legally complex and technically demanding multi patent litigations.

Prior to joining SVPG, Dr. Krishnamoorthy was with the law firm of Finnegan Henderson where he worked for several years on high profile patent matters for major clients.

As an engineer at Silicon Graphics Inc.(SGI), Dr. Krishnamoorthy was involved in the development of multi-node scalable supercomputers and in developing of system software and ASICs for complex digital media and graphics systems . His doctoral research involved development of scheduling and parallelization algorithms for computing on heterogeneous workstation clusters (a precursor to cloud computing) and the development of software architectures to permit transparent use of such clusters for compute-intensive applications.
