Bryan Wyman's practice focuses
on prosecuting patent applications, evaluating patent portfolios,
providing patent non-infringement and invalidity opinions,
supporting patent litigation, searching for prior art to
invalidate patents, and counseling clients on related patent
matters for electrical, electronic, and computer related
inventions.
Mr. Wyman's fields of technical expertise include mobile
radio technologies (e.g., GSM and CDMA systems), telecommunications,
data communications, data protocols, digital signal processing,
software engineering, digital and analog circuits, and communications.
Mr. Wyman's prosecution work has included preparing and prosecuting
utility and PCT patent applications with the U.S. Patent
and Trademark Office (USPTO), as well as drafting responses
for patent applications filed in the Japan Patent Office
(JPO), the United Kingdom Patent Office (UKPO), and the European
Patent Office (EPO) for local, national and international
clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Wyman was an associate with
Morrison & Foerster LLP in Palo Alto and with Skjerven
Morrill LLP in San Jose. In addition, Mr. Wyman externed
for the Honorable Ronald M. Whyte in the United States District
Court for the Northern District of California.
Before entering the legal profession, Mr. Wyman worked for
11 years as a system and software engineer, designing and
developing analog and digital cellular radio systems for
Silicon Valley companies. During graduate school, Mr. Wyman
taught undergraduate assembly language programming as a part-time
faculty member.
Mr. Wyman is registered to practice before the USPTO and
is a member of the California Bar. He is also member of the
American Bar Association (ABA), Silicon Valley Intellectual
Property Law Association (SVIPLA), Institute of Electrical
and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and the American Radio
Relay League (ARRL).
